2012 Honda CR-V LX

After weeks of our date nights consisting of going to car dealerships, and us being stressed beyond belief about my (lack of vehicle) situation…

I bought a car!
It’s a 2012 Honda CR-V LX.
We were going to buy a 2011, but went to the new car section of the dealership and realized the sticker price was only about $1,500 more for a brand new one. That was an immediate yes.
I drove it off the lot on Saturday, June 7th. It had 83 miles on it.
J also bought a new truck on Sunday. If either of us purchase cars within the next seven years, someone please shake us.

This are pretty chaotic at work right now. It’s 2:47 on 7.12 and P has been asleep for 27 minutes. In the house at this moment are: the handyman, MB’s sister (who is helping them unpack), the exercise equipment people (two guys), The Parent’s (M/DB), me, P, and Lizzy (the dog). The dryer repair man just left. We toured P’s school this morning, are going back for a visit tomorrow, and he starts on Monday! There is also Salsa Chicken cooking in their slow cooker, prepped and started by yours truly.

The neighbors just came over with goodies to introduce themselves. I love this area because everyone is so warm and welcoming! Their plate of goodies had an Erin Condren sticker on it, which instantly made me happy (: I received my 2012-2013 planner yesterday, and I luuuurve it. Review? You got it!

Hello from New Hampshire!

Just wanted to peek in and update on my job situation.
We know I quit the last job I had, right? Right. I did, without looking back.

At the beginning of this month, I was contacted by a family on Nannies4Hire asking if me to take a look at their profile, and if I was interested then we would set up an interview. I was, so we did. They were in California looking at (and buying) a house because they were going to be moving there from New Hampshire. Sparing you the deets, I’m now in New Hampshire. I’ve been here since Sunday and I leave on Friday. I’m having fun & I’m so excited to start on July 2nd back in Southern California. My charges name is ‘P’ & he just turned 4 on Saturday.

Car update: It was declared a total loss (DUH.) & I got all the totals and everything.
I will have enough for a decent down payment on the car I want, to pay off my credit cards, and catch up fully on all my bills. With some left over. I’m happy.

This is where I tell you to leave whoever you’re insured with and go to State Farm. Why? Because it’s only been a week and a half and the totals are in. The paper work is getting mailed to my insurance agent’s office for me to sign in tomorrow’s mail. Everything will be said and done by Saturday. One day shy of two weeks since my accident. Bet your insurance isn’t that fast!

Since I’ve Been Gone

I’ve been gone a while. Y’all want a recap of whats happened since my last post? Not counting the one from yesterday.

1. I got a job.
2. I went to the International Nanny Conference in Las Vegas.
3. I quit my job.
4. I interviewed for another job, two weeks ago.
5. …and another, yesterday.
6. Spied on my angry neighbor, last night.

Ha. Things you might ask…
You finally got a job, why’d you quit so soon?
In short, parental views didn’t match in any way & I thought it be best for me to bow out and let them find what they were real looking for in a Nanny.

You went to the INA Conference? Was it like a giant Nanny party?
Erm, no. I learned A TON, and have the notes to prove it. I got to meet my closest Nanny friend, Keyanna, as well as Sue Downey! Both are amazing ladies & I can’t wait to see them in October at NannyPalooza!

Why are you such a nosey neighbor?
His windows are open, as are mine. If you don’t want me to spy on you through my kitchen window, don’t yell so loud…or close your windows so I can’t hear you. Just sayin’.
